# 2.3 Airdrop

Through a regular airdrop mechanism, we will distribute VEGA tokens to members of the Metis community, promoting project participation and community development.

* Airdrop Total Supply: 20% (20,000,000 VEGA)
* Execution Frequency: Once per month, randomly conducted

The airdrop distribution will be based on specific criteria and conditions, which may include but are not limited to: holding a certain amount of METIS tokens, participating in specific project activities, contributing to community development, among others. Through this approach, we aim to encourage active participation of Metis community members while providing additional rewards and incentives.

These airdrops offer community members an opportunity to increase their holdings of VEGA tokens within the Vega ecosystem, further stimulating their interest and engagement in the project. Additionally, the airdrop mechanism helps to expand the size and influence of the community, fostering community building and development.

Through regular airdrop mechanisms, we look forward to providing more value and opportunities for members of the Metis community, collectively driving the success and prosperity of the Vega project.
